Crown Green Bowls



Crown Green Bowls is a key part of the club at Ribblesdale. It is brilliant venue with a fantastic green and floodlights making it one of the best set ups locally.


The bowling section has numerous teams competing in different standards of leagues for all abilities.


The club has teams in the following Leagues:


- Hyndburn & District League (Monday/Tuesday Evenings) 2 Teams


- Great Harwood League (Wednesday Evening) - 2 Teams


- Hyndburn & District Vets 55+ (Tuesday Afternoon) - 1 Team


If you fancy joining any of the teams, players are always welcome to join the existing teams and there is also room also create new teams.


As well as team bowling, there is also some social bowling and internal club competitions for members to enjoy. The club also hosts many open competitions.


Ribblesdale Wanderers C&BC is home to one of the biggest a competitions in the sport. The Ribblesdale Classic is quickly becoming one of the top open competitions in the UK.


Attracting the sports elite to the club from all around the county. With a huge prize fund on offer it brings in big crowds and lots of interest throughout the sport, with information all over the internet and social media, the event is also streamed live online. The previous editions have seen the competition get bigger each year and it has gone from strength to strength.


The Bar-Be-Quick Pairs has been run at the end of the season for 30+ years and continues to be played under the floodlights in October. Attracting top players to play also. The competition has a illustrious list of winners. Other competitions and events are also run at the club.


New bowlers and new members are always welcomed and it’s a fantastic sport to be involved in, whatever your age, ability, come down and have a go. There is plenty of bowls at the club if your a beginner and wanting to have a go and there always someone willing to show you how to play.


Bowls is sport for all, no matter what age, gender, ethnicity, disability. Anybody can play. If you would like to find out more information about how to get involved and fancy having a go contact the club.



Ribblesdale Classic Finals Day
Sunday 25th May 2025



Congratulations to Callum WRAIGHT (Shrewsbury) who was crowned The Ribblesdale Classic Champion 2025 and took home the magnificent trophy and £1600! Callum defeated Ryan CLARK (Sheffield) in a thrilling final that kept everyone entertained and engaged 21-18.


The hundreds in attendance and thousands online enjoyed a high quality match fitting for the final! Callum also qualifies for the BCGBA Champion of Champions in September.


Congratulations also to Harley TATTERSLEY (Dewsbury) who defeated Ryan HOCKNULL (West Bromwich) 21-16 in a great junior final. Harley won the trophy and £400 as The Junior Ribblesdale Classic champion..................................
