Members and Visitors Code of Conduct
This code of conduct sets out the behaviour expected of all club members and visitors on Ribblesdale Wanderers Cricket and Bowling Club premises. The code of conduct also sets out the obligations of club Management and Directors in conjunction with responsibilities of members and visitors. Members have a right to:
Be treated fairly, equally and with respect by the club, its committee and other members. Socialise in an environment free from all forms of harassment and discrimination. Privacy and confidentiality concerning records, documentation and any other communication containing a member’s personal information, unless consent is otherwise provided. Be informed and actively involved in all club events and offerings. Voice their opinions, requirements and suggestions to the committee.
Members must:
Treat other members, visitors, staff and committee members, fairly, equally and with respect and courtesy. Shall not behave in any way that will damage the reputation of the club as a family-friendly environment, either verbally or through social media. Are required to behave in a manner conductive to the enjoyment of the club’s facilities for all persons. Obscene and or offensive language or behaviour will not be tolerated. Not to physically or verbally harass others. Report any inappropriate behaviour of a member to the committee of the club for action and follow up. Any person or Group found to have damaged club property will be held accountable for the repair and or reparation of such damage. Pay any fees in relation to an event, or offering (e.g. tickets or memberships) which that member has committed to, regardless of whether the member attends the event or not. Notify the club’s Membership Officer of any changes to address. Abide by the clubs Code of Conducts and uphold the Constitution and Code of Conducts of the club.
Complaints
Members shall address any complaints regarding club matters to the Secretary of the committee as soon as practicable.
Staff
Members and their guests are expected to be always polite and co-operative towards club staff. Members are requested that any complaints regarding staff are to be put in writing and addressed to the club Secretary. At no time should members verbally harass or abuse staff regarding a complaint, either in person or through the social media.
