To ensure we are remaining focussed on always improving - we have developed a Cricket Action Plan overseen by the Cricket Action Group.

The plan is simply about staying on track against each action.


Detail coming out of the plan for the 2023 season is the Players Code of Conduct outlining expectations around commitment to training / game availability and overall standards and behaviours.


We have already delivered on the Live Streaming of home games which includes a highlights package for coaching purposes which will be introduced in 2023 now we have technology in the home changing room.


In the home changing room we have 4 words, captured into the redesign of the facility in 2021, to drive the player culture now and in the future..​

We run 3 senior sides in the North West Cricket League.


The junior sides compete in their respective age groups also in the Lancashire League.


Our Ladies play in the North West winter league and the Lancashire East Women’s Soft Ball 8 League plus many Prosecco tournaments.

North West Cricket League

Bobby Denning - Head of Junior Cricket





Bobby is an ECB Level 4 Coach, achieving the qualification in 2008. A 20 year career with Lancashire Cricket saw him working with the County Age Group squads over a 12 year period along with the Emerging Players Programme and Coach Development. A Cricket Development focus meant progression through senior leadership roles with Bobby becoming Managing Director of the Lancashire Cricket Board in 2013 During his time at Lancashire. Bobby worked in European Cricket as Head Coach of Spain for 10 years and for the same time period was Head Coach of the England Deaf team both at home and overseas, regularly touring Australia / South Africa with coach mentoring roles in UAE and India. Bobby received his International Coaching Cap Award from the England and Wales Cricket Board in 2019.


Bobby now owns Fylde Coast Cricket Coaching with former Lancashire colleague Danny Gilbert, successfully delivering winter and summer coaching programmes, work with Clubs and Coach Development. In 2023 they take the Fylde Coast Bears to the UAE.


They have recently launched the Fylde Coast Cubs meaning their offers are from the early years upwards!


Bobby focusses on Junior Training and development. He also works with other clubs away from his Ribblesdale Wanderers duties



Our Ladies Team





If you would like to join the fun with our ladies team then come and join them for training,


The Ribblesdale Wanderers ladies are now in their 5th season and growing stronger all the time, both as players and as a team of women who are genuinely like family. By the end of the season we were hosting a softball tournament on the same day as England played New Zealand in the Cricket World Cup.


Alongside the East Lancashire Softball League we play regularly in Prosecco tournaments. These are designed to encourage newer players to get experience and just for teams to get extra games in while having fun. All games (League and Prosecco) are short between 30-45mins long, we usually play 3-4 on a game day.


There’s no commitment to be able to play every game, we understand life can sometimes get in the way, we just ask you to turn up to training as often as you can and play the games you can, while enjoying it.


We don’t judge, we encourage, support and want to help everyone improve for themselves. Come along on a Wednesday night From April-Sept 6:15 and see for yourselves. A fantastic bunch of ladies, with an ex-England ladies player coaching us so you know you’re learning it right. We honestly have so much fun and welcome all new players.
