Jordon Kelly - weighs in with a dominant 122 not out!

Jordon Kelly delivered a sensational maiden century for the club in style over the weekend against Baxenden, finishing unbeaten on 122 from just 81 balls - blasting 13 fours and 9 sixes!

He fittingly brought up his hundred with a colossal six, capping off a dominant performance.

Chasing 203, Ribblesdale openers Jordon Kelly and Hammad Amin came out swinging from the first ball. The duo raced to a 50-run partnership in no time, with Hammad smashing 10 fours in a blistering 46 off 49 balls before nicking off.

With Waqar Rafique joining Kelly at the crease, the assault only intensified. Kelly, in sublime touch, launched a six to bring up his maiden century for the club, celebrating in style with the iconic double cobra pose.

The pair made light work of the target, with Kelly finishing unbeaten on 122* (81 balls, 13 fours, 9 sixes) and Rafique providing solid support with 25*.

Congratulations to Jordon on a sensational innings to help the 1st X1 charge for the title.

Ladies Cricket

If you would like to join the fun with our ladies team then come and join them for training,

The Ribblesdale Wanderers ladies are now in their 5th season and growing stronger all the time, both as players and as a team of women who are genuinely like family. By the end of the season we were hosting a softball tournament on the same day as England played New Zealand in the Cricket World Cup.

Alongside the East Lancashire Softball League we play regularly in Prosecco tournaments. These are designed to encourage newer players to get experience and just for teams to get extra games in while having fun.

All games (League and Prosecco) are short between 30-45mins long, we usually play 3-4 on a game day.

There’s no commitment to be able to play every game, we understand life can sometimes get in the way, we just ask you to turn up to training as often as you can and play the games you can, while enjoying it.

We don’t judge, we encourage, support and want to help everyone improve for themselves. Come along on a Wednesday night From April-Sept 6:15 and see for yourselves. A fantastic bunch of ladies, with an ex-England ladies player coaching us so you know you’re learning it right. We honestly have so much fun and welcome all new players.
