Bobby is an ECB Level 4 Coach, achieving the qualification in 2008. A 20 year career with Lancashire Cricket saw him working with the County Age Group squads over a 12 year period along with the Emerging Players Programme and Coach Development. A Cricket Development focus meant progression through senior leadership roles with Bobby becoming Managing Director of the Lancashire Cricket Board in 2013 During his time at Lancashire. Bobby worked in European Cricket as Head Coach of Spain for 10 years and for the same time period was Head Coach of the England Deaf team both at home and overseas, regularly touring Australia / South Africa with coach mentoring roles in UAE and India. Bobby received his International Coaching Cap Award from the England and Wales Cricket Board in 2019.
Bobby now owns Fylde Coast Cricket Coaching with former Lancashire colleague Danny Gilbert, successfully delivering winter and summer coaching programmes, work with Clubs and Coach Development. In 2023 they take the Fylde Coast Bears to the UAE.
They have recently launched the Fylde Coast Cubs meaning their offers are from the early years upwards!
Bobby focusses on Junior Training and development. He also works with other clubs away from his Ribblesdale Wanderers duties
